3-Alarm fire in Schiller Park, 9-26-19

This is a report from Chi-Town Fire Photos:

9/26/19 – 3-11 Alarm Fire @ 3902 River Rd.

There was a major fire at an outdoor storage facility in Schiller Park. When the first units arrived, they found two to three storage lockers already on fire. Engine 5 pulled up and started laying lines, but the fire had already spread to other units. The alarm was quickly upgraded to a Box Alarm, bringing in more resources. By the time additional companies arrived, the fire was really gaining strength. In total, it escalated to a 3-Alarm fire. Several departments from surrounding areas were called in to help. Firefighters worked hard with a lot of forcible entry and water application to bring the flames under control. I believe around 7 or 8 hand lines were deployed during the operation. We arrived just before the Box Alarm was officially called, so we witnessed the initial stages of the incident.
