QDX pumps are centrifugal submersible pumps with a semi-open impeller design, suitable for both automatic and manual operation. The impeller is mounted at the end of the drive shaft and consists of a rear disk and blades enclosed by the pump body cover. Fluid enters the rotating blade channel through the suction strainer, which acts as the base of the pump. The fluid moves radially from the center outward, gaining energy in the form of pressure and increased speed. After leaving the impeller, the fluid is directed towards the volute, where part of the kinetic energy is converted into pressure energy before exiting via the side opening in the pump body.
