OEC-T5 EL50448 Auto Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor TPMS Reset Tool
For GM/Opel Series Vehicles
Item Description:
This EL-50448 tool is designed for GM and Opel vehicles equipped with a 315 or 433 MHz Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) system. It allows you to perform the "Sensor Re-Learn Procedure" after tire rotations, replacing the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver Module, or replacing a Tire Pressure Sensor. This device also works on 2014 GM models.
The TPMS sensors in models from 2012 onwards can only be read using specific diagnostic tools. Before the tire pressure monitoring system functions properly, the body control module records the ID information of each tire pressure sensor. To read this information after replacing a tire or wheel speed sensor, follow these steps:
Step 1 - Enter Learning Mode
Set the gearshift lever to "P"
Turn the ignition switch to "ON"
Access the tire pressure display interface via DIC
DIC will show "Press Set / Ctrl to re-learn"
Press "Set / Ctrl"
The turn signal lights for 3 seconds, and the horn beeps twice to enter learning mode.
Step 2 - Read Tire Pressure Sensor Information
Start with the front-left wheel
Place the J-46079 or Diagnostic Tool EL-50448 antenna against the valve core and close to the tire sidewall
Press the start switch on the EL-50448 tool
A single horn beep indicates successful reading of the tire pressure sensor information.
Step 3 - Repeat for Other Tires
Follow the same method to read the tire pressure information for the front-right, rear-right, and rear-left wheels.
When the learning is complete, the turn signal lights for 3 seconds, and the horn beeps twice.

QA:
Q: What vehicles will EL-50448 work on? I have a Chevy Colorado.
A: This tool works on 2012 and 2013 GM cars and trucks. It may also work on other makes and models. You should find specific information for your Colorado easily. Some older GM vehicles can use the "let air out" method without a reset tool.
Q: Which GM automobiles will EL-50448 TPMS work on?
A: It works on late model GM pickup trucks starting from 2007. It’s very easy to use and offers good quality.
Q: Will it work on a Ford Expedition XLT 2006?
A: No, this is specifically for General Motors vehicles.
EL-50448 Reviews:
1. Works on both truck and car: Simple and inexpensive but works great. Much better than going to the dealer or a tire store just to get your pressure sensors reset. I used it on my truck and my wife's car and it only took a few minutes to reset all four wheels on each.
2. With correct low battery display: I've never been able to get my TP sensors to program using the "let air out" method on my 2007 Tahoe. Now, I can reprogram them in just a few seconds and the dash display correctly indicates which tire is low. This tool should have come with the vehicle.
3. Easy to use: The operation is simple and straightforward. Considering what dealers would charge, it would not take many trips service visits to pay for the unit. It does exactly what it says it will do with no drama.
4. I could not believe I needed a special tool to rotate my tires. From what I understand, 2010 (2011?) and older vehicles can use any big magnet to reset your Tire Pressure Sensors. 2011 (2012?) and up to at least my 2013 Silverado, you need one of these gizmos. This one works like a champ.
5. Wide GM vehicle coverage: The deflate method is verified ok only on Chevrolet Volt 2011 year, with the El-50448 TPMS relearn tool, I could get the 4 TPMS programmed in less than one minute. El-50448 could program TPMS on GM 2010-2013 year.
