More than 50 Rotork IQ and iqt smart electric actuators with integrated controls are being installed at a major wastewater treatment plant in Littleton / Englewood, Colorado. The WWTP serves more than 300,000 residents in most of Denver's commercial and residential areas in the United States to meet population growth and harsh environmental pollution control. When the expansion is completed, the plant's daily handling capacity will increase from 36 million gallons to 50 million gallons. Rotork IQ and iqt Electric Actuators have been successfully installed in all parts of the plant fluid control equipment, including: the opening of the river system, mud valve, two solid contact tank valve, safety valve, drainage and discharge valve. All IQ and iqt actuators connect to a large, integrated network including process transmitters, flow meters, and automated plants throughout the plant that allow operators to closely monitor field data. In addition to the electric actuator, Rotork also has 32 P-Series pneumatic actuators and two electro-hydraulic actuators installed at the WWTP.
