The large-scale inflatable mechanical stirring flotation machine with the largest single tank volume in China has been successfully developed.

"160M3 large-scale inflatable mechanical agitation flotation machine research" is an important research content of the "10th Five-Year" national science and technology research plan. After several years of hard work, the Beijing Mining and Metallurgical Research Institute and Jinchuan Group Co., Ltd. have successfully developed the “160M3 Large Inflatable Mechanical Stirring Flotation Machine” and successfully completed the industrial application test.

A few days ago, the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association organized experts to conduct technical appraisal of the results. On the basis of carefully reviewing relevant technical materials, listening to reports, and questioning and replying, the experts of the appraisal committee unanimously believe that the overall performance of the equipment has reached the international advanced level and is innovative in the following aspects:

1) The impeller-stator has a unique structure. The impeller adopts a high-ratio number of backward-inclined blades, a large circulation low-pressure head, a sufficient slurry suspension, and uniform distribution of ore particles; a low-damping direct-suspended stator with a stable radial flow;

2) Double foam tank and double push bubble cone structure, the inner foam tank has the function of pushing foam to ensure the smooth discharge of flotation foam in time, which is beneficial to shorten the foam conveying distance and increase the foam thickness, and the foam layer is stable;

3) The pre-distribution directional flow air distributor is unique, the air dispersion is uniform, the flow path of the aerated slurry mixture is reasonable, the bubble surface area is large, and the flotation efficiency is high;

4) The slurry level and aeration amount of the equipment are automatically controlled, the operation is convenient, the operation is stable, the index is stable, and the energy saving effect is obvious. At the same time, the results also enriched and improved the similar amplification theory of large flotation machines, laying a theoretical foundation and practical basis for the optimization of the whole series of new flotation machines and further improving equipment reliability.

The successful development of this equipment indicates that the research and development level of China's super large-scale mineral processing equipment has been ranked among the international advanced, which has significantly improved the research and development capabilities of China's mining equipment. It is of great significance to promote the modernization of China's mines, improve resource utilization, and enhance the competitiveness of the international market.
