Working fire in Schaumburg, 7/8/16
This is from Larry Shapiro: Schaumburg firefighters responded to a fire in the laundry room of a split-level home at 809 Holyoke Court on Friday morning, July 8, 2016. Upon arrival, smoke was visible coming from the lower level window, which led to the incident being upgraded to a Code 4 working fire. Firefighters quickly entered the scene and found the fire confined to a single room. They efficiently extinguished the flames and ventilated the area, with additional units returning to the station after the situation was under control. As an interesting note, in March 2011, Schaumburg crews faced a fully involved house fire just across the street, which required a Box Alarm response. It's always a reminder of how quickly things can escalate and how crucial rapid response is in such situations.
