China Oil Logging North China Exploration Department successfully detected gas storage in North China
On June 15th, the 22151 team of CNPC North China Business Department successfully used the drill rod push-type magnetic positioning measurement method to locate and confirm the detection at the well repair work site of Well 23-6x in the key construction project of North China gas storage. The location provides a reliable basis for the next-step engineering measures for well repair. Article 23-6x is an old well abandoned in 2005 due to the falling of drilling tools. At present, the Wen 23 fault block has been identified as an important block for the construction of gas storage in North China. Wen 23-6x wells must be well-blocked, otherwise gas storage construction will not be possible. Faced with this old well workover task, how to accurately detect depth and orientation is the key to taking the next step in technical measures. Since the beginning of drilling in early May, the North China Business Unit has started to capture well logging design, repeatedly screened logging methods, optimized logging series, and used array induction, synchroclining, magnetic positioning and other methods to log well and accurately determined the well repair location.
