Due to sales pressure, China's LDPE prices fell by US$20/tonne. However, the willingness of ethylene-supported LDPE to sell is still quite high, despite news that crude oil prices have fallen slightly. The closing price of C2 on Tuesday was USD 1255/ton CFR Northeast Asia/Southeast Asia. Market participants want to dispose of their LDPE cargo and expect the adjusted price to be the same as the market price. According to reports, the transaction price for various September shipments with China was in the range of 1400-1410 USD/ton CFR, except for the Middle East/Malaysia. It is reported that traders' willingness to buy at 1380 US dollars / ton CFR China, despite the South Korean and Taiwanese suppliers said the price is in the range of 1500-1550 US dollars / ton CFR China. China's domestic LDPE ex-factory prices fell by RMB 1,000/t to RMB 14,800/t this week, equivalent to US$1,448/ton CFR on an imported basis, down US$92/ton from the previous week. By contrast, prices in Southeast Asia have risen and are almost the same as prices in China. According to reports, the transaction price for September cargo was between 1390-1410 USD/ton CFR South East Asia, with the exception of Malaysia. In Pakistan, the willingness to sell was reported at US$1450-1470/t cfr, early Middle East/Malaysia, despite little demand. Willingness to buy fell by $100/tonne.
