The drying device removes excess water from the iron concentrate to prevent condensation of the product in cold climates. In this test, the wet concentrate was loaded into a drying drum and heated by a coal burner. The dried product was then loaded onto the wagon. Although the preliminary test results indicate that the drying plant can operate in cold weather, it is still necessary to make partial adjustments and follow-up work on the unit if it is to be fully operational. At the same time, IRC is waiting for an independent third-party expert to provide detailed analysis of the test.
The commissioning of the drying plant is progressing well. The trial production of the main processing plant continues uninterruptedly at the same time and will gradually increase productivity.
