Siemens wins orders from 3 shipyards in China

Siemens Energy Business recently signed three supply orders for Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd., Shenzhen China Merchants Heavy Industry Shipyard and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard for three offshore drilling platform electrical system solutions. The Blue Drive Drilling equipment included in the scope of supply for these orders is a semi-submersible and elevating drilling rig tailored specifically for international companies such as COSL Europe Drilling Company, Prospector Offshore Drilling and Falcon Energy.
Based on these three orders, Siemens will deliver five drilling platform electrical system solutions, including medium and low voltage switchgear, transformers, medium pressure thruster drives, motors and Blue Drive Drilling equipment, and related project commissioning and project management services. . This is the first time that Siemens has provided electrical system solutions for Shenzhen China Merchants Heavy Industry Shipyard and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard.
