Through the development of methanol downstream industries such as chemical new materials, fine chemicals, and new energy, the industry chain has been extended, the conversion rate of methanol and the competitiveness of enterprises have been improved, and the overall technical level of the methanol industry has reached or approached the international level of the same period.
"Plan" predicts that during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, the growth of China's methanol demand will slow down significantly, with an average annual growth rate of about 15%. By 2015, the apparent consumption of methanol in China will reach 40 million tons.
In order to achieve the above objectives, the "planning" suggests that during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, the government should implement total control of the methanol industry, and proceed from three aspects: increase energy conversion efficiency, optimize industrial layout, and strictly admit access standards, and strengthen macroeconomic regulation and policies.
