According to reports, using this process to produce ethyleneamines, the single-pass yield of ethylenediamine reaches about 50%, the total yield of ethyleneamines is greater than 95%, and the product purity is above 99%. The new process has broken through the key technologies for reducing the molar ratio of ammonia to dichloroethane and the use of low concentrations of ammonia, where the molar ratio is reduced to 4:1 and the amination reaction time is only 20% of the old process. The process adopts special heating method to concentrate and desalt, which effectively solves the problem of salt clogging reboiler. By adding a small amount of effective chemical substances, the problem of decolorization of triethylenetetramine and tetraethylenepentamine is solved.
Compared with existing foreign technologies, the new process has high catalytic activity, low reaction pressure, fast reaction speed, high product yield, energy consumption reduction of 70%, investment in equipment is only 1/3 of the old process, and catalyst, ammonia are realized. According to reports, ethyleneamine synthesis methods are mainly dichloroethane and ethanolamine. The dichloroethane method must use 30% or more of high-concentration ammonia, and the molar ratio of ammonia to dichloroethane is large (30:1 to 10:1). The equipment investment is large, the operating cost is high, and the reaction pressure is large and the reaction temperature is high. . Changzhou Petrochemical Plant and Xiangtan Pesticide Plant were introduced to the process in the 1970s and the 1980s respectively. They were forced to stop production due to high production costs and energy consumption.
