European Auto Parts Suppliers Association Appoints New CEO
According to foreign media, CLEPA, the European Association of Auto Parts Suppliers, announced the appointment of Jean-Marc Gales as its new CEO, effective April 2, 2012. Born in Luxembourg in 1962, Jean-Marc Gales joined PSA Peugeot Citroën as head of the Citroën brand in 2009 and was named head of the Peugeot Citroen brand strategy two months later. Currently Gales is still a member of Peugeot Citroen's management committee. Previously, Gales had worked for Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, General Motors, and BMW and other automotive companies, and had extensive experience in the automotive industry. Gales succeeded Lars Holmqvist and Lars Holmqvist decided to retire after serving as the CEO of the European Automobile Parts Suppliers Association for 8 years.
