Nova Chemical Investment 80 Million USD to Transform Ontario Polyethylene Plant

Nova Chemical announced on January 9 that it would invest 80 million U.S. dollars in a series of modernization of its polyethylene plant in Ontario, Canada, and carry out capacity building. In the next two years, the capacity of the new plant will gradually increase to 250 million pounds per year (approximately equivalent to 113,000 tons).
It is understood that this investment plan mainly includes: upgrading the low density polyethylene at the Mooretown plant in Ontario, improving product reliability and expanding production capacity, optimizing the production of high density polyethylene to increase productivity and improve product quality; The river factory carries out debottlenecking of high density polyethylene and linear low density polyethylene.
The company said that last year the St. Clair River plant completed the modernization of flexible catalytic cracking of the plant, increased the production capacity and energy efficiency of ethylene, increased the reliability of the plant operation, and made the cost competitiveness so high, this year for the polyethylene production line. The transformation laid a good foundation.
