Yesterday, a reporter learned from local authorities that the logistics project within the Chengdu Shuangliu Airport Logistics Park – the Southwest China Automotive Engineering and Automotive Logistics Center – is set to begin construction soon. All preliminary preparations are now largely complete, marking a major step forward for the region's automotive industry development.
According to available information, the project was initiated through the collaboration of dozens of members from the Chengdu City Federation of Industry and Commerce's Shiyan Chamber of Commerce. These members collectively account for over 70% of the commercial vehicle and parts market in Chengdu. The center aims to attract leading domestic and international automobile manufacturers, well-known regional dealers, and logistics providers specializing in auto parts storage and distribution.
Once fully operational, the center is expected to become a modern hub for commercial vehicle display, distribution, and logistics in the western region. It will serve as a key node in the automotive supply chain, enhancing the area's influence and connectivity across the broader southwest China market. The project is anticipated to significantly boost local economic growth and create new job opportunities in the logistics and automotive sectors.
