There is the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with a minimum temperature of minus 20 degrees Celsius and an altitude of 4,700 meters. This “anti-migratory” team is the engineers responsible for the San Gao experiment at the Weichai Technology Center. Most of them are college students who have entered the factory in recent years. The average age is less than 30 years old.

It is this team, I do not know how many days and nights, galloping in the vast expanse of unmanned desert, driving on snow-covered snow on the road, again and again, challenging the limits of the environment and physical limits, in the hot sun, in the winter , experienced repeated hardships. Their job is to collect tedious data, capture problems, and solve problems at various limits during this tedious driving process. Under the low temperature of minus 30 degrees Celsius, the engine's low-temperature startability, idle speed stability, low temperature drivability, and related fault diagnosis are performed; under the altitude of 4000 meters above sea level, the supercharger overspeed, over temperature, smoke, etc. are restricted , Let the vehicle still maintain good dynamic, economical and emission characteristics in high altitude environment.

Not only that, but also the technical docking, on-site matching, the commissioning of vehicle safety, the organization of test assemblies and tools, the formulation, implementation, coordination, and overall planning of the pilot program... there is also a huge fleet of test vehicles for food, shelter, and heat protection. The warmth of the cold, the warmth of the cold, the protection of the altitude sickness, and the harsh environment have brought no small challenges to normal life.

At the end of July 2009, the Three High Test Team ushered in the largest-scale high-temperature and plateau test in Weichai. Six test vehicles and three test service vehicles traveled together, accompanied by more than 40 employees. The plateau test originally scheduled for Turpan in Xinjiang was changed to Dunhuang, which is located at the intersection of Gansu, Qinghai, and Xinjiang because of special reasons. Under the high temperature conditions where the maximum temperature reached 50 degrees, the engine was tested for overheat protection, high temperature start, and dynamic performance. .

At the end of August, the Dunhuang high-temperature test was successfully completed. At 6:00 in the morning, the team rushed to the Golmud Plateau 600 miles away. At the beginning of the plateau, dizziness, powerlessness, nausea and flustered altitude sickness plagued everyone. However, in comparison with these, the test team encountered a greater “stumbling block”—a frequent earthquake in Qinghai.

The news came, "Going and not going", in a fierce struggle. In the past, life safety may be threatened; if not, it is very likely that the annual plateau trial will be missed. This is another year, and new products may miss the best time to enter the market, which may bring unpredictable losses to the company.

Business interests are above everything else. In the face of difficulties, no one flinched. On August 30, the team arrived in the epicentral area. At one o’clock in the morning, physically and mentally exhausted players were sleeping. Another 5.1 aftershocks occurred in Golmud. In this way, in the aftershock, the players risked their lives and began a new round of plateau experiments. On a plateau with an elevation of more than 4,000 meters, a bowl of ordinary noodles is cooked for two hours. In order to save time, the team members only eat two meals a day, and lunch can only be served with water. The air in the plateau is thin and encounters faults. The trial service personnel can usually solve the problem within one hour, and it takes 3-4 hours here. On the road where the vehicle is traveling, the team members must also be alert to dangerous road conditions and be prepared to prevent the landslides and rocks from falling due to the earthquake. On one occasion, a running test vehicle hit a rock that suddenly fell and almost fell off the cliff. Everyone was shocked with a cold sweat.

In the course of the experiment, the leaders and employees of the company and the technical center are concerned about this team. On September 3, the company's vice president and director of the Technical Center, Deide Hui, led the team of the San Gao Experimental Team to see everyone and climbed the Kunlun Mountain Pass at an altitude of 4767 meters. When I saw family members come over and face that was tanned by the sun, they all overflowed with happy smiles.

In Golmud less than a week, the three-high test team experienced multiple earthquakes with magnitudes of more than 5, and the test team was tested in bad weather such as storms, heavy rain, hailstorms, sandstorms, etc. However, everyone insisted that no one said they wanted to give up. All of them were full of pride and enthusiasm, and they vowed to win this Kunlun Mountains with Weichai spirit.
