The auto market slowed down 3.1% from January to November this year

According to the data compiled by Gasgoo.com, from January to November in the period from 2008 to 2011, the growth of sales of general passenger vehicles in China (domestic sales, the same below) has gradually slowed down. Sales in 2009 increased by 59.5%, and increased by 29.8% in 2010. In January-November 2011, sales increased by 3.6% to 12.2772 million units.

The fastest-growing passenger vehicle markets in 2010 were MPVs and SUVs. Their sales increased by 76.5% and 76.4% year-on-year to 433,300 units and 1,328,800 units respectively. Sales growth of passenger cars and micro-customers was lower than the market average (29.8%), and sales volume increased by 25.5% and 23.7% respectively to 9,253,800 vehicles and 2,400,000 vehicles.

From January to November this year, micro-customer sales fell, which was 11.3% from 1,948,200 units in the same period of last year to 1,945,200; the sales volume of other passenger vehicle markets both increased. Among them, the fastest-growing SUV was increased by 20.7% from 1,086,600 units in the same period last year to 1,135,800. This was followed by MPVs and sedans, with sales growth of 10.7% and 4.9% respectively to 458,000 and 8.5584 million.

In November of this year, the only SUVs in the major passenger car markets increased in sales volume, which was a 10.9% increase from 129,200 units in the same period last year to 143,300. The sales of other passenger vehicle markets both declined, among which micro-customer sales fell the most. In November of this year, sales decreased by 14.8% year-on-year to 181,800. The sedan and MPV slipped 2.0% and 1.2% respectively to 869,000 and 45,200 vehicles.

Second, the past four years, the proportion of various types of passenger car market from the perspective of all kinds of passenger car market, the car is still the mainstream, its sales accounted for about 70% of passenger car sales. However, its share has a declining trend. The proportion of passenger cars in the passenger car market has been reduced from 74.0% in 2008 to 69.5% in 2010.

The third and fourth-largest SUVs and MPVs in passenger cars all accounted for an increase in market share. Among them, the larger increase was SUV, which gradually increased from 6.6% in 2008 to 10.7% in January-November 2011. The proportion of the MPV market rose from 2.9% in 2008 to 3.7% in January-November 2011. However, in 2009, its share has decreased to 2.4%.
