Box Alarm in Arlington Heights, 1-10-20

Early this morning, firefighters in Arlington Heights were called to a structure fire at 1106 N Chestnut around 4 AM on Friday (January 10th, 2020). Upon their arrival, they discovered flames engulfing an attached garage. As the situation escalated, it was upgraded to a MABAS Box Alarm, which brought additional support from neighboring towns including Buffalo Grove, Mt. Prospect, Rolling Meadows, Wheeling, Palatine, and Prospect Heights. The images captured by Larry Shapiro provide a stark look into the intensity of the fire and its aftermath.
