None of us could have anticipated just how deeply this crisis would impact our personal and professional lives. What was the initial impact on your business during the early stages of the pandemic?

Thanks to FDA guidelines, we were considered an essential business and kept operating to meet the needs of our clients, many of whom were also classified as essential. Hospitals, in particular, leaned heavily on us to ensure proper indoor climate control during such a challenging time. While business slowed down somewhat compared to 2019 levels, we were fortunate enough to keep production running smoothly at full capacity throughout the crisis. We made some adjustments to spending and benefits, but managed to retain our entire workforce.

Did any of your employees test positive for COVID-19, and if so, how did you handle it?

We did experience a few cases of COVID-19 among our team members, who followed CDC quarantine protocols. Thankfully, these instances didn’t disrupt our operations, and we pulled together as a unit to get through it.

When did you notice a notable improvement in business, and in what ways?

In early 2021, we didn’t see much of a rebound in business, staying relatively steady. However, things picked up significantly after the severe winter storm that hit the central U.S., especially Texas, causing widespread disruptions. This event created new opportunities for us, and we’re grateful for the progress we’ve seen since then.

Looking ahead to the rest of the year, what does the future look like for Nationwide Coils?

We’re optimistic about the upcoming months ahead. We’ve secured several large contracts, expanded our workforce, and are thrilled to relocate our New York headquarters to a bigger location. The rollout of vaccines gives us hope that brighter days lie ahead.
