Molybdenite grain size and floatability - coarse grinding and recovery

As previously introduced, molybdenum ore has good natural floatability. When the collector is added , the molybdenum floatability will be further improved. After many years of statistics, CA Bonn found that in the rough selection of Klimas molybdenum, the 28 mesh (0.6mm) coarse quartz particles can float smoothly as long as they contain 1% bare molybdenite. For 100 mesh (0.15 mm) coarse quartz particles, it can float smoothly even when it contains only 0.2% of the exposed molybdenite. Therefore, in the molybdenum ore flotation, even a very poor continuous body, as long as there is bare molybdenite, it can easily float. This opens up the possibility for rough grinding and rough selection of molybdenum ore.
However, this does not mean that the selected particle size has no effect on the flotation recovery of molybdenum ore, but the effect is much less than the impact on other minerals.
When the molybdenum ore is encapsulated in other mineral particles in a particulate form and is not exposed to the surface at all, the continuum cannot be floated.
The two-year production statistics of Claymax 1956.6 ~ 1958. 6 show that the coarse grinding fineness has an effect on the crude molybdenum recovery rate, but the impact is not significant (see Figure 1). The statistical conclusion of the Jinduicheng Molybdenum Plant is similar (see Figure 2).

Obviously, the coarse grinding fineness increases, the crude selection recovery rate of molybdenum increases; the collecting ability of the collector is improved, the floatability of the molybdenum ore is improved, and the crude selection recovery rate of molybdenum can also be improved. Of course, the dressing stone molybdenum content ores factors also affect the recovery of molybdenum rougher.
