On the evening of March 11, during the World Bus Expo Awards Gala, Zhongtong Bus received the BAAV Best Eco-Friendly Passenger Car Award for its LCK6128EV, a fully electric, energy-saving vehicle. The win was no surprise, as the model quickly became the benchmark for eco-friendly public transport in China.
At the exhibition, the LCK6128EV made a striking impression. Designed based on the renowned Bofa bus philosophy, the vehicle exudes a dreamy and elegant presence. Its curved front, flowing rear lines, and robust body create a powerful yet graceful visual impact. The exterior features traditional Chinese royal motifs, including an elaborate golden dragon and cloud pattern, giving it a regal and luxurious feel. Visitors were captivated by its design, stopping to admire and take photos, clearly impressed by its aesthetics and innovation.
According to Zhongtong staff, the LCK6128EV is not only a technological marvel but also a symbol of sustainable transportation. It features a world-class electronic control system and consumes just 1.1 kWh per kilometer. The use of lithium-ion batteries ensures zero emissions and allows for a range of up to 250 kilometers on a single charge. This achievement places China’s electric vehicles at the forefront of global innovation. The LCK6128EV is also a key project under Zhongtong Bus’s National 863 Program, representing the culmination of years of research and development.
As the deputy general manager of Zhongtong Bus, Yu Chunyin, responded to a reporter’s question after receiving the award, he emphasized the growing importance of clean energy solutions in the face of rising fuel costs and climate change. He stated that reducing carbon emissions and exploring environmentally friendly alternatives have become critical issues globally. Zhongtong, with its strong sense of social responsibility, has prioritized green technology in its product development. This award not only acknowledges the company’s long-term efforts but also sets higher expectations for future progress.
