Drew Gresik responded to a MABAS 2nd Alarm this evening in Brookfield and shared these images and details of the incident.
A fire was reported coming from the garage of a two-story ordinary residence located on the 3500 block of Rosemear. The blaze quickly engulfed the garage and then spread into the main structure, escalating the situation to a 2-alarm response. As the fire continued to grow, it was upgraded to a full MABAS Division 10 call, with additional resources from MABAS Divisions 11, 20, and 21 also dispatched. Firefighters stretched four lines and worked aggressively throughout the scene.
The fire caused significant damage, completely destroying the garage and spreading rapidly into the home. Emergency crews were seen working closely together, with multiple apparatus stationed along the street for over a block.
