Guodian NARI realizes two-way flow of charge and discharge of electric vehicles

Recently, the national 863 project titled “Industrialization Technology for Battery Replacement Stations with Battery Replacement Stations” undertaken by the State Power Nanrui Power Technologies Branch in Beijing passed the technical acceptance of the High Technology Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The project has developed an engineering prototype, developed a cluster control and dispatching system for charge and discharge machines, and has the conditions for industrialization of charge and discharge machines.


At present, most of the electric vehicle charging and changing stations and the power grid are in a one-way flow, and cannot achieve two-way interaction between the battery system and the power grid. The charge and discharge machine can realize the two functions of charging and discharging the battery. When the peak of power consumption is discharged, the battery can be fed back to the power grid to realize peak cutting and valley filling for the power grid.

“This project belongs to the major project of the “Key Technology and System Integration of Electric Vehicles (Phase I)” in the modern transportation technology field of the 863 Program, and is a forward-looking research to realize the two-way flow of electric energy. The research will effectively promote the development of the electric vehicle industry in China. And to expand the application of battery replacement station in the smart grid system,” said Chen Liangliang, deputy manager of the charge-swapping system division of the National Electric Power Technology Branch.

According to the acceptance opinion, the project carried out the topological structure of the charge and discharge machine for battery exchange station, the control strategy, the grid control technology under the discharge mode, and the research on the cluster control and dispatching technology. Among them, the research team's achievements in the control strategy of the charge and discharge machine and the cluster control dispatching system technology at the battery exchange station have a reference value for the application of the two-way interaction technology between the power battery system and the power grid.
