Shenzhen has made a significant breakthrough in automotive core technology, marking a milestone for the Chinese auto industry. Konka, a leading electronics company based in Shenzhen, has successfully developed an Engine Fuel Injection (EFI) control system and obtained national certification, filling a critical gap in domestic automotive technology.
According to a recent report by reporter Yang Yong, the EFI control system is often referred to as the "heart of the engine," and it plays a vital role in vehicle performance and efficiency. Chang Jing, General Manager of Konka Automotive Electronics, announced that the company has not only developed this key technology but also secured state-level testing and certification.
The engine is considered the heart of a car, and its electronic control system is the brain behind its operation. Experts emphasize that the EFI control system represents one of the most complex and technically challenging components in automotive electronics. Due to late development in China's automotive electronics sector, such advanced systems have long been dominated by foreign companies like Bosch and Motorola. However, Konka's achievement now changes the landscape.
Chang Jing presented test data showing that all performance indicators of Konka's EFI system meet international standards. This innovation significantly improves engine energy efficiency and has already attracted interest from several domestic automakers. Currently, five major car manufacturers have signed agreements with Konka and are in the process of vehicle calibration, adjusting parameters to suit different models.
Looking ahead, Konka plans to expand its capabilities by developing an electronic fuel injection system specifically for diesel engines, further strengthening its position in the automotive technology market.
This breakthrough not only boosts national technological confidence but also paves the way for future advancements in smart and eco-friendly vehicles.
