Multi-vehicle crash in Niles, 7-10-20

A high-speed collision occurred on Friday evening in Niles, causing damage to six vehicles but resulting in only minor injuries. The incident took place on Oakton Street as a black Volkswagen Jetta, driven by a 34-year-old man from Des Plaines, was heading westbound toward Prospect Street.

Initially, police did not release the vehicle's speed, but it was later revealed that the Jetta somehow veered into the eastbound lanes just east of Prospect Street. There, it collided with a white GMC SUV driven by a 49-year-old woman from Morton Grove. No serious injuries were reported, though the crash left a significant amount of damage.
